bionic legs, did a full lap around my bases walls before running right back into the fire. The ones that didnt catch fire got swarmed after melee pawn Jeff caught fire, on every drug w/ adv. they all burned to death.Ģnd attempt I tried to build the killbox quickly off an airlock and target termite/tess's. I've got a smaller killbox setup for where they are attacking but its not doing much good.ġst attempt I was brave and ran out to kill termite quickly. I've got killboxes but they are sappers with a termite. Still I put them out front to soak some fire. The mechs I do have are just for hauling and cleaning, ya know having 5 pawns and all. Melee pawn Jeff has waterskip/stun but that's not helping here much. I was getting close to 300k last I checked. I was going for archonexus victory so just rushing wealth making it a bit heavy handed with raids. food poisoning), just 5 pawns and some lucifer bugs for my drugged up Jeffery. This is only 300% I think at losing is fun settings (reg. Ye I've tried everything I can think of besides turning on dev mode and deleting the tess's. I'm just some stoner ranting (I deleted a lot of it) but let me know if you've experienced some of my hatred of tesserons and fire in Rimworld. I love you Tynan but good lord dude you've got orbital lasers and genetically modified super soldiers yet a touch of fire is the deadliest weapon. I'd call it STOP ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DROP AND ROLL mod. I've never been so frustrated that it made me want to learn how to make mods just to fix a game. I just witnessed all my pawns be lit on fire by tesserons through shieldbelts, do an entire lap of my base, setting some rooms on fire just for ♥♥♥♥♥, and then proceed to go back out front to be lit on fire yet again. Its been like this every playthrough until I call it quits and start another. I cant kite the tesserons or get within range to take them all out before they ♥♥♥♥ up everyone's day. In my current colony I've got 5 well equipped pawns with a mech raid of 6 centipedes, about 15 other mechs and then 5 tesserons. I really have no idea how tesserons made it through testing. Biotech w/ the tesseron mechs and maybe early game the fire breathers have shut me down. Idk if its the mods I have installed or the 300-500% threat level, but fire has ended every single playthrough, more specifically Tesseron mechs. The idea is to have a defensible position without having to rely on a killbox. In a Rimworld of advanced technology and the addition of more mechs with the biotech DLC, the most deadly thing in the rim is. Go deep into the caves, or settle near deep water. You can combine this with Option 1 for maximum effect. Installing the walls in a random pattern will mess with the breachers' AI, and they will waste time on the decoy walls while the others will waltz into your killbox. Just go out there and install wooden walls (early game), or granite walls (access to drills). This is only viable late game, where you can afford to lose certain expendable colonists, and have access to a larger selection of offensive tactics, such as psycasts, locust squads, and attack animals. Option 3: Go out there and kill them yourself. This is only viable near the late game by gifting large amount of valuable goods to allies via drop-pods. Option 2: Call in aid and simply overwhelm your enemies with numbers. A bit expensive but quite worth the price. Here's a few options to handle breach raids without worrying about your walls. Walls have always been a target of nerfing.
